COLLANA ARCOBALENO

COLLANA ARCOBALENO is a beautiful series of 50 titles, published in Italy by Editrice Carroccio in the 1950's. It was translated into several language including Arabic and French. During my research I was able to see a French copy; but I did not copy down information of the  french publisher. and now, I can not remember how to find it again.I will be so happy if someone  gives more information about the French publisher and how many titles were translated.

Chris, you've got such a keen eye ! That's exactly the same kind of drawings. 

In this collection (there are sometimes, in one book, several stories without any link or drawn by different illustrators), you don't always know who illustrated the stories, as the artists are never credited (you can sometimes see a name but not always...)

As for the number of titles published, I don't know, as there is no official list.

Par contre, à ma connaissance, dans la collection "Harmonie", chaque livre ne raconte qu'une histoire !

Tu ne confondrais pas avec la collection "Rondeau" des éditions Touret ?:

Chris, c'est vrai que la collection Harmonie est une collection spécifique. En fait, je mettais dans le même panier les différentes collections "compilatoires" qui reprennent les mêmes histoires. Par exemple, on trouve Le prince Azur dans un autre ouvrage, intitulé Pinocchio et autres jolis contes, paru chez DIL (Monte-Carlo) en 1958 :



Mais l'illustration suivante montre qu'il a été réédité chez René Touret :



J'imagine que tu as toi-même certains de ces ouvrages. Ce serait intéressant de savoir si les histoires qu'ils contiennent sont parues dans la collection Harmonie...

You are absolutely right. Chris  is a great collector and she knows a lot about children books. the series above was published by Editrice Carroccio which was one of the famous Italian publishing houses during the first half of the twentieth century. It was founded by the two brothers , Gino - Luigi - and Renzo - Lorenzo in 1933 as a  new name of Cartoccino Editions which was founded by their father - Ettore Boschi.


A lot of beutiful series were publishe by Editrice Carroccio before and after The second world war. these include the advanture books by the famous Italian writer Emilio Salagari which appeared under different series such as


• Collana SALGARI 1945
• Collana NOVELLE SALGARI 1945
• Collana popolare SALGARI 1946-1947
• Collana NORD-OVEST

• Collana Cartonata






there is another beautiful series by the same publisher which I do not know if it was translated into French or not. It is called Per Tutti

Oulala...mon pauvre ! Touret a sorti un nombre incalculable de collections reprenant les grands classiques des contes.

Tiens, un autre exemple que tu dois connaître....la collection "Carillon"

La première image présentée m'a fait penser à la collection "Merveilleuse" aux éditions Hemma...mais les suivantes me font douter !   Il existe tellement de collection avec les grands classiques des contes !
