This Italian Magazine that turned out , later on, to be a rich encyclopedia, has appeared in 1960s and It was translated into several languages including French.
I wonder When It was translated into French?
and How many titles were translated from its 216 issues?

I'm not absolutely sure, but I'd say that 20 books were edited. Plus 6 addendums after a while.
I remember reading some of them when I was young. I really had a lot of fun. ☺

Initially published from Oct. 1961 (No of issues not provided).
Then re-issued from Oct. 1971 as 240 issues released over 55 months.

I never had nor read any at the time, but I do remember this: I guess I saw ads in some magazines when I was young.

Yes, it is famous ! Or it WAS famous ... for people born before 1975/1980...
As a teacher I had the 20+6 I was telling you about in my classroom, hoping the pupils to have as much fun as I had 45 years ago.

I have always thought that the majority of the members are from that era.

I apologize for my belated reply regarding this once famous series.

TOUT L'UNIVERS (ie The Whole Universe) was a successful educational weekly magazine which was introduced in France in October 1961.
The magazines could be assembled into binders which eventually constituted a young people encyclopedia.

Originally, the magazine had been launched by the publishers Fratelli Fabbri in Milan (Italy) in 1958 where it was known as "Conoscere".  
Its huge success led to numerous international editions :
Knowledge in England, Masada in Israel, Resimli Bigli in Turkey, Estudiantil in Spain, Wissen in Germany, etc... as well as Al Maaroufa (المعرفة ) in the Arab countries 
but I have no idea if it was available in Algeria at the time.






As far as I know, it was reissued twice in France: 
First in the seventies and then again in 2016.

However, it would appear that it was not as successful - to say the least - as it once had been.
The copies that were available from all French newsagents soon disappeared and it stopped being distributed.
